SIZZLING Goddess
When a painting doesn't turn out the way I want it to, I shelve it until I learn something new -- some way to improve it. This was one of those cases. I took my original portrait into Photoshop and turned it into a fiery goddess. Jazz pianist Ramsey Lewis enhances her power.

It's That Look of Love
Her eyes say everything. They are filled with love for you. Remember when eyes looked at you like that? I doubt if we ever forget that expression. If you'd like this Fine Art print, you can buy it from me at http://www.etsy.com/shop/MoxyFoxDesigns .

Fire Under My Skin
This is a Fine Art print taken from my original painting. This black haired beauty has something on her mind. She's thinking of him and you can bet he is filled with her. Frank Sinatra has a rendition of this jazz classic "I've Got You Under My Skin". Have you ever felt that chemical rush that is like a thin layer of fire? It blazes under your skin. I was astonished the first time I felt that.
I'm selling this signed fine art print on http://www.etsy.com/shop/MoxyFoxDesigns. It ships free to US buyers.

Complicated? You Bet!
Every man will say women are so complicated. Okay, so we use our brains in different ways than men do. We don't look like men -- so what did you expect?
Here's a cool video of Pomplamosse to demonstrate the theory of complication:

The Blond Tomboy
The kids at East Denver High chose my mother as the prettiest girl in school. She was a tomboy and regularly chastised by her proper father. "You'll never find a husband by challenging the boys to climb trees faster than you can." However, her marriage to my father lasted 57 years. He called her "my princess". Here they are after their wedding. When I drew this portrait, I must have been thinking of her.
I love Harry Connick Jr.'s rendition of "The Very Thought of You".

Taxes? I'll Ride Naked First!
Lady Godiva was a noble woman who thought the taxes her husband was imposing were unfair. Weary of her entreaties, he said he would grant her request if she would strip naked and ride through the streets of the town. Lady Godiva took him at his word....
You can buy this print at http://moxyfoxdesigns.etsy.com/. This is number one of a limited edition of 50.
Here is a modern version of Lady G. protesting. History is cool:

You're Already in Trouble
Starting with the Impressionists, artists have gone beyond what is visible to the eye and have plowed deeply into the inner workings of their subjects. Especially with portraits, it is crucial to bring out the inner feelings. How does an artist show the passion of her subject? Here I have heightened the feelings of sexual hunger with burning cheeks and an aura that could never be seen with the naked eye. Passion is hot and uncontrollable.
Here is a wonderful trailer from "All the Pretty Horses" where lust and love have dire consequences.

Are You Being Naughty?
In 1929 jazz pianist Fats Waller wrote "Ain't Misbehaviin'. By this time it is considered a jazz standard. Since this drawing has an air of naughtiness to it, I thought it would be fun to title her after Waller's song "Ain't Misbehavin'. Hope you enjoy this rendition. He wrote the music with Harry Brooks and the lyrics are by Andy Razaf.
No one to talk with, all by myself
No one to walk with, but I'm happy on the shelf
Ain't misbehavin', I'm savin' my love for you.
I know for certain the one you love
I'm through with flirtin', it's just you I'm thinkin' of
Ain't Misbehavin', I'm savin' my love for you.
Like Jack Horner in the corner
don't go nowhere, what do I care
Your kisses are worth waitin' for . . . Believe me.
I don't stay out late, don't care to go
I'm home about 8, just me and my radio
Ain't Misbehavin', I'm savin' my love for you.
